Sweeter than sugar - but has zero sugar, calories, fat, sodium, carbohydrates, cholesterol, and glycemic index, not chemically made, safe for diabetics, safe for cooking and baking, does not promote tooth decay and loaded with nutrients – Stevia is now organically grown and sold in the Philippines!
On top of the health benefits, 1 gram of stevia = 3 teaspoons of sugar (while 1 teaspoon of sugar = 4 grams). So 1 kilo (or 1,000 grams) of stevia = 3,000 teaspoons of sugar. While in 1 kilo of sugar, you only get about 240 teaspoons.
The Stevia powder is sold as Sweet & Fit in the market for at least P3.00 per 1 gram sachet: the SRP for a 10 pc box is P32.00 and P124.00 for the 42 pc box.
The Stevia powder is straight from the manufacturer and outside the Sweet and Fit box packaging, hence, the lower price.
The loose packs are priced as follows:
- P2.50 per 1 gram sachet. Minimum 50 sachets per order (P125.00 for 50 pcs). (Remember, its about P124 per box of only 42 pcs in the groceries)
- P1,400.00 per 1 kilo pack (or P1.40 per gram). You’ll need a scale for this pack because they are not packed in sachets. Ideal for bakers. Not available in the groceries.
